David Ray Shadix, age 32 of Amarillo, died Saturday September 24, 2011 in Amarillo, Texas.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday September 27tth at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiants will be Rev. Mike Nuthman and Rev. Brad Ingram of Hillside Christian Church. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
David Ray Shadix was born in Amarillo on August 9, 1979. He graduated from Caprock High School and attended West Texas State University. David worked as a salesman at Ingram's Flooring for the past three years and was a member of Hillside Christian Church. David completed the Walk to Emmaus on walk #210 in 2009.
He was a devoted father to his son Noah and cherished the time they spent together.
David is lovingly survived by his parents Glenn and Doris Shadix of Amarillo; his precious son Noah; his grandmother, Evagene Ivie of Amarillo; his grandfather, L.E. Shadix of Amarillo; his extended Ingram's Flooring family that stood by him every step of the way; his two cousins Shannon and Bowie and his wife Vickie; his Aunt Edwyna Honderich and husband John; and many other loving family members and friends.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd Amarillo, TX 79106 or Hillside Christian Church 6100 Soncy Road Amarillo, Texas 79119.
