Glenda Lou (Hix) Cloyd

Glenda Lou Cloyd, 84, of Amarillo passed away in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on October 31, 2022.

The family will receive guests on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, TX 79110. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10am in the funeral home's Brentwood Chapel with Pastor Billy Snider of San Jacinto Assembly of God presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Glenda was born on July 5, 1938 in Sayre, OK to John and Lillian Hix. She graduated in 1957 from Sunray, TX. After graduation, she attended business school in Amarillo, TX. She then met the love of her life, John Cloyd whom she married on June 4, 1965. They had two children that she loved dearly. She was a God fearing woman who loved participating in church activities. Glenda was a member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandson.

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband John, and sisters Sue Ramirez and Mildred Rodgers. Those left to cherish her memories are her sister Carol Cook of Broken Arrow, OK, daughter Karen Newbill and husband Sammy of Amarillo, TX, son Kevin Cloyd and wife Kelly of Yukon, OK. She also leaves her grandchildren Kelsey Bridges and husband Blaine of Yukon, OK, Zack Newbill of Amarillo, TX, Kolton Cloyd and wife Emily of Yukon, OK, and her great-grandson Weston Bridges of Yukon, OK.
