Ronald "Ron" Delano Walker

Ronald "Ron" D. Walker, 83, passed away in his sleep at home on Friday, April 8, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at 2pm at Second Baptist Church, 419 N. Buchanan in Amarillo with Jarid McCool of Westmont Christian Church of Lubbock presiding. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery.

Ron was born November 8, 1938 to Harold and Mildred (Beck) Walker in Amarillo, Texas. Ron met the love of his life, Jane Kelley of Custer City, Oklahoma; they were married December 1, 1956.

Ron was a devout Christian, known for his love of family and wonderful sense of humor. He was a carpenter by trade, and a Master Craftsman. He retired from Walkcon LTD after 25 years of service.

A true definition of a Patriarch, Ron leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Jane Kelley; his two sons: Randy Walker, wife Rhonda, Royce Walker, wife Tera; his two daughters: Becky Brock, husband Mike, all of Amarillo Texas, and Sammie Shaw, husband Randall of Lubbock, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
