Our beautiful, beautiful boy, Adjalin Casey Wright, 43, of Amarillo,Texas, passed away on June 9, 2023.
Adjalin was born to his adoring mother, Deniese Armstrong Jones, on December 12, 1979 in Amarillo Texas.
He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on
July 2,1994 at the “Godly Fear” District Convention at the age of fourteen.
He was an active member of the Canyon, Texas Christian Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was almost never missing from the meetings, and if he wasn’t there in person he was probably present online with Zoom video conferencing.
Adjalin graduated from American Home School and attended Amarillo college.
He was the owner and operator of Wright Way Window Cleaning, a trade that was taught to him by his loving father, Lyle Jones.
Adj, as we called him, was a highly intelligent person, he would read the dictionary for fun. He was kind hearted, especially to the elderly. He often delivered food to them and would even cook for them at times. He loved cooking. He made ribs of his own recipe and called them “Adj’s Family Famous Ribs” because if you ate them, then you were family. He was a romantic stargazer and a poet.
He belonged to an online poetry club where many of his poems were published and won awards. He loved science, outer space and thunderstorms. He was not a sports fan, except for fishing with his family.
He loved playing card games like Canasta and Crazy Rummy with his mom, his Nana Lorene, and his sister, Candice. He almost always beat his mom at Scrabble.
His favorite scent was pumpkin spice.
He was tender hearted and loved all animals, especially his cats, Ashes and Posey.
Adj was a Star Trek fan but not a Star Wars fan. He would say that Star Trek was more scientifically accurate and Star Wars was more Hollywood.
Aside from cooking and poetry, he had many hobbies. He loved to paint, especially miniatures, and he was quite good at it. His other hobbies included, gardening, rock polishing, wood burning, and geocaching.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clare and Frances Wright, and his Papa Clarence Armstrong.
He is survived by his father and mother, Lyle and Deniese Jones, his sister and best friend, Candice Chennault, and her husband, Billy, his Nana Lorene Armstrong and his niece and nephew, Scarlett and Sawyer, all of Canyon Texas. He is also survived by his uncle Bruce Armstrong and his wife Cindy, his Aunt Gloria McClain and her husband David, all of Amarillo, and his Aunt Ruth Elkins and her husband Terry of Evansville, Wyoming, and many cousins, family members, and friends.
His cremains will be placed alongside his papa Clarence at Shady Grove cemetery in Big Fork Arkansas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home in Amarillo, Texas.
We are all waiting patiently to see Adjalin again soon in Jehovah’s new earthly paradise, when our sadness will be replaced with pure joy and gratitude.
