Adrianne Woodard, 65, of Amarillo, passed away March 23, 2016.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Monday, March 28, 2016 at Christian Heritage Church, 900 S. Nelson, with Kevin McBride officiating. Arrangements were by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas 79110.
Adrianne was born on May 21, 1950 in South Bend, Indiana and was raised in Sarasota, FL, which is where she met Bill Woodard and they were married on August 30, 1968. They moved to Amarillo around 1974. She worked in nursing services for more than 35 years at BSA Hospital. She was also actively involved in women’s and children’s ministries at Grace Church, Christian Heritage Church and most recently at Hillside Christian Church-North Campus.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Smith; her husband’s parents Rev.Ted and Doris Woodard, her husband Bill Woodard; and two brothers, Butchie and Gene Smith.
Adrianne is survived by her daughter, Karen Dobberstein and husband, Roger Jr. and her son, Joshua Woodard and wife, Genie, all of Amarillo; her sister, Susie Gusciora of West Virginia; her sister-in-law, Cathy Mercer and husband, Jim of Bell Buckle, TN; and her grandchildren, Heather and Amber Keplar, Alex and Jenna Dobberstein, Kimberly and David Woodard, and Raegan Wells.
The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Schooler Funeral Home.
