Al Irlbeck

Mr. Irlbeck was born on October 31, 1928, in Happy, Texas, to John L. and Theresa Lange Irlbeck.  He married Ollie Reid in Happy in June of 1959.  Mr. Irlbeck lived and worked as a welder in Jacksonville, Florida.  He moved back to Texas in 1996 after the death of his wife.  Upon returning to Texas, he continued working as a welder until his retirement and then he worked part-time at the airport.  He loved to dance and grow roses and attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Canyon.
He is preceded in death by his wife; two brothers, Ralph and Tony Irlbeck; a son, Patrick in 1993; and a sister, Roberta Artho.
He is survived by his son, Bill Irlbeck of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Teresa Tomsu and husband Ray of Kress, Texas, and Marjorie Hollabaugh of Amarillo; four brothers, Teddy Irlbeck of Kerrick, Texas; Cyril Irlbeck and wife Betty of Amarillo; Harold Irlbeck and wife Traudel of Copperas Cove; and Tom Irlbeck and wife Brooxie of Denton, Texas; and three grandchildren, Aaron Irlbeck, Sarah Irlbeck, and Alycia Irlbeck and a special step-granddaughter, Teresa May Howard and her husband Tom of Oklahoma.
