Alice Sanford Johnson, 29, formerly of Amarillo, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in Denver, Colorado.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 8, 2015, Amarillo Country Club in the Acacia Vista Room. Dr. Jim Smith will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Alice was born in Amarillo to Mary Lynn Richardson Holder and Ray Charles Johnson III, on September 22, 1985. She attended St. Andrew’s Episcopal School, San Marcos Academy, and graduated with honors from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology.
Alice was currently pursuing a teaching certification with Bikram Yoga in Phuket, Thailand. Her goal was to open her own non-profit yoga studio, in Denver, inviting anyone with physical or emotional issues to be healed through yoga.
Ali lit up every room she entered. Coupled with a sneaky sense of humor, her heart was generous, kind and thoughtful, always seeing the good in, and bringing out the best in others. Her bravery was only surpassed by her beauty, and she had a heart full of love for all people and animals.
Her spirit will live on……
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Susan Sanford Richardson Mount; Joe C. Richardson, Jr.; and Ray C. Johnson, Jr.
She is survived by: her fiancé, Blake Moore; her mother, Mary Lynn (Mel) Holder and husband, Ladd; her father, Charles Johnson; her sister, Elise Johnson; her grandmother, Joan Johnson; and her future parents-in law, Carrie and David DeLaney, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.
