Alma Inez Mills, 100, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018.
Graveside services will be in Oakhill Cemetery in Evansville, IN.
Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Alma Inez Pierce, known as Inez, was born September 26, 1917 in Vian, Oklahoma to James and Clara Pierce. Her parents had moved from Indiana to Oklahoma in 1907. She was raised at her family farm near Gore, Oklahoma. After graduating from High School she returned to Indiana and married her first husband, Waldo McAdams in 1940. They had two sons, Ronald and Darrell, and she helped raise her stepdaughter Peg. After Waldo’s death in 1966 she moved to Amarillo where she married her second husband, Charles A. Mills. She lived the remainder of her life in Amarillo. Inez was a homemaker and active in volunteer work. She started the bridge club at the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association. She also delivered meals on wheels and worked on the food line.
Inez is survived by her two sons, Ronald McAdams and wife Susan McCune of Big Timber, Montana and Darrell McAdams of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Clare E. McAdams; and two great grandchildren, Evelyn and Grady Grandfeld.
