Amos J. Mize
November 18, 1919 — June 8, 2009
Mr. Mize was born November 18, 1919 in Kenefick, OK to Carl and Gertie Mize. He met Estelle Gunter and they married on January 25, 1941 in Paducah. He was a Seaman 1st class in the US Navy and participated in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He owned and operated Mize Texaco for many years. He and Estelle are members of Paramount Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Mark Green.
He is survived by his wife, Estelle of the home; two daughters, Sandy King and husband Barry, and Terri Marks and husband Robert, both of Amarillo; five grandchildren, Jay Green, Jeremiah Marks, Scott King, Keith King and Stacey Parsons, and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors at 3608 Patterson
