Andra "Sue" Bunch Britten

Sue was born and raised in Roswell, New Mexico. One of her many accomplishments growing up was working with well-known horse trainers and received many rewards. Which became one of her favorite places to return to later in life. She became an RN, after moving to Canyon TX. She worked in a variety of settings, her favorite being at the Amarillo Veterans Hospital, which she did for many years in a variety of positions. She felt privileged to work with veterans. While there she met and married Dr. Thomas Turner, the love of her life. They enjoyed doing many things together, one being traveling to places where they could ride horses back and enjoy the views of the country. Sue was an avid horse woman, had many accomplishments and accolades in this arena. She was involved in the Stock Horse of Texas Association, and was working on revamping and raising awareness to the Horse Show Club Organization of New Mexico. She is survived by her children. Daughter Annet Downing and husband Robert Downing of Amarillo, Andy Waxler of Happy with wife Nicola, children Colton and Wife Taylor with Waylon of Azle, Jack Waxler of Canyon, two children of the home Daisy and Kindred. Leo Britten and wife Dayna, their children Owen, Hugh and Gwyn all of Groom, TX, Kay Lynn and Scott McLaughlin and their son Christopher McLaughlin of Conway, Cody and children Hunter Richardson, Emily and Brent Britten of Groom. Shelley and Cole with their son Sam Britten of the Amarillo area.
Sue has nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and both of her siblings. A memorial will be scheduled later at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to one of the many horse organizations she was involved in. Thank you for your thoughts, prays calls and cards.
