Andrew Robert Villasi, 46, went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2021 at his home in Amarillo, Texas.

Andrew was born on August 13, 1974 in Queens, New York.  He attended high school in Rockland County in upstate New York. Andrew was an accomplished competitive swimmer with numerous awards across New York State, and played on the Varsity Lacrosse Team while in high school. He started college at Rockland Community College, and State University in Plattsburg, New York. Andrew enlisted in the United States Navy in November 1998 and served as an F-18 Avionics Man and Electrician and attained the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class E-5. His personal awards included the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and a Sea Service Ribbon. In November 2002, he elected to leave the Navy to seek a job in his skill sets in the civilian sector. In 2004, Andrew moved to Maryland and worked in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development H1 upgrade program at Dyncorp. He started out as an aircraft electrician and worked his way up to supervisor. In 2005, his work in Maryland was completed and he was hired by Bell Helicopter and relocated to Amarillo, Texas. Andrew started out as an Aircraft Systems Specialist and after a few months, moved into a Flight Supervisor position, later becoming a supervisor in Final Assembly. In 2017, Andrew received a Business Management Bachelor’s Degree from Wayland Baptist University.

Andrew was an animal lover. His best friend and companion “Belle” a pit bull mix dog, was by his side for 15 years, until her passing earlier this year.  He had a love for God, his family, his friends, and his pets. He was an expert pistol shooter. He took pleasure in music, especially Metallica, playing his guitar, goofing around with Savannah who was like a daughter to him, collecting guns and guitars, the outdoors, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. Andrew had a laugh and smile that was contagious. He was kind and generous and a friend to anyone he met. Andrew really cared for people and was always there to lend a helping hand when someone needed it. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and will live on in our minds and our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Villasi; and his father, George Villasi.

He is survived by his brother, George Villasi (wife Jessica); sister, Julie Orosi (husband Steve); brother, Eric Villasi; niece, Gabi; nephew, Alex; and loving friend, Tina (her daughter Savannah).
