Anna Marie Lee

November 16, 1959 — June 20, 2019

Anna Marie Lee, 59 of Amarillo, TX went home to the Lord on the twentieth of June, 2019. Rosary will be Sunday 6:30 pm at Schooler Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am Holy Family Catholic Church of Nazareth. Tx. She came into this world a miracle on November 16, 1959 into the loving arms of Willie Faye and Robert Huseman. She grew up in Nazareth, TX surrounded by a huge family and countless playmates. She had a pet bull, not a pit bull, but a pet bull!  She was a clumsy little thing; she couldn't walk off the front porch without breaking a leg.  When her athletic abilities began to diminish she continued "breaking a leg" though her love of theater.  She was musically gifted and even taught herself how to play the guitar.  She also left her mark on the choir when she sang the National Anthem so high the rest of the rest of the choir had to stop.  She met Billy Lee when she was a Senior in high school at a dance. When they did finally dance, they didn't stop the rest of the night. They were married shortly after and Anna went on to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse.  She loved caring for people and would shortly pass that love for caring to her children.  Anna had 3 children; Melissa, Heather, and Robert and made everyday a special one.  She always had fun things for the kids to do and was an arts and crafts master.  She was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1984, and faced several other health issues throughout her life, however, she conquered them with a smile on her face and an unstoppable faith in God.  Everyone she came in contact with was welcomed with a smile, open arms, an "I'm sorry" and a God bless you.  Anna's oldest daughter, Melissa married Jesse Valle in 2005 and blessed her with 2 grandchildren, Jacob and Andrew.  One of her favorite things to do, other than play dominoes, was watching movies, drawing and coloring with her grand-kids.  She called her daughter, Heather, often just to talk, and would always start the conversation with, "Heather? This is mom."  She also said, "Good-bye, I love you" 15 minutes before the conversation was over.  She didn't know how much this tickled her daughter nor how much that would be missed.  She shared a love of puzzles with her son, Robert, and many of his fondest memories were sitting with her and working on a challenging one.  Anytime they talked, there was always a competition to see who could say, "I love you" more.  Her selflessness and compassion has and will always inspire her childreb to help anyone in need.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Willie Faye Huseman, her brother Raymond Huseman and sister Mary Frances.  She is survived by her children, Melissa and her Husband Jesse Valle, Heather Lee and Robert Lee, her grandchildren Jacob and Andrew Valle, her siblings Linda and her husband John Gressett, Terry and his wife Randi Huseman, Kim Huseman, Julie and her husband Mark Neusch, Bob Huseman, Chrissy and her husband Alan Acker, Billy Huseman, and Sr. Mary Michael, as well as countless cousins, nieces and nephews.  She loved to talk about anything and everything.  It didn't matter what the subject was or who the conversation was with, she was happy to share and listen to others.  She put everyone before herself and would go out of her way to comfort those who were hurting, even if she was in pain herself.  Her compassion was endless and spread to those around her and she instilled in her children a passion for service and charity. She put her faith above all things.  She was a devout Catholic and spent most of her time praying for those here and those gone.  Receiving Holy Communion was the highlight of her week; anything to get closer to God and His Holy Mother.  Her devotion and faith were contagious, much like her infamous Huseman laugh.  Lucky for her kids, they will be blessed with the sound of her laughter through her sisters for many years to come.  In the words of Anna, "I love you and God bless you."
