Anna Raffkind, 89, of Amarillo died on January 29, 2015.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, February 2 , at Llano Cemetery with Stan Adelman officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia. St.
Anna Grace Raffkind born April 9, 1925 to George and Sylvia Rudelson in Los Angeles, California passed away peacefully on January 29, 2015. Mrs. Raffkind's parents owned a women's clothing store, RuDell's on Polk Street. Anna was married to Morris Raffkind for 52 years and many of those years were spent serving customers at the family business, Raffkind's, a men's clothing store started in 1910 by patriarch Eli Raffkind. Morris Raffkind passed away in 1998.
Mrs. Raffkind is survived by her four children - Cheryl Raffkind and husband Randy Finkelstein, Glenna Raffkind, George Raffkind and wife Alicia, and Eliot Raffkind and wife Julie. Mrs Raffkind also is survived by 5 grandchildren - Sheri Finkelstein and Craig Finkelstein; Chelsea Raffkind and Michael Raffkind and Trip Whittenburg. Mrs. Raffkind is also survived by her brother, Moe Rudelson and his wife Naomi and preceded in death by her brother, Benny Rudelson. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Daniel and Myrna Raffkind; and her sister-in-law Isabel Sanditen. Mrs. Raffkind also had 2 great grandchildren, Tori Sage Rath Finkelstein and Marley Brooke Rath Finkelstein. Mrs. Raffkind loved to cook and later in life enjoyed making some delicious, exotic dishes enjoyed immensely by her family. She was also a talented artist in a variety of media. The Raffkind family would like to thank Ms Anna's wonderful caregivers - Tizzy Williams, Doris Gardner, Ashley Brown and London Shorten.
