Annie Virginia (Allen) Andrews

Annie Virginia Andrews, 73, of Amarillo passed peacefully on July 24, 2022.

A celebration of Annie’s life will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S. Soncy Rd with Rev. Greg Corona officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, TX.

Annie was born February 28, 1949 in Ada, Oklahoma to Henry and Irene (Homer) Allen. She graduated from Latta High School. On March 12, 1966, Annie exchanged vows with Charles “Stan” Andrews in Ada, Oklahoma.

Annie loved spending time with her family. They were the center of her whole world. She especially loved her grandchildren. They brought her so much joy and kept her young for many years.

When she wasn’t with her family, Annie could usually be found playing bingo or working on one of her many paintings. She was incredibly artistic. Her house was full of paint bottles, brushes, and just about anything else needed to create a beautiful work of art. Annie even dabbled in ceramics as well as many other creative paths.

Annie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stan, son Stanton “Alan” Andrews, and sister Hopper Delozier. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Tamara Scaccia and husband Joe, brothers Roy, Pedro, John, and Dink Allen; and her beloved five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and many other loving family and dear friends.
