Annie “Lucille” Hester Gadman, age 75 of Amarillo, died January 13, 2015 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, January 16th at 2:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. The Rev. Eric Rieck of Oronogo, Missouri will officiate. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Lucille was born in De Quincy, Louisiana on May 18, 1939 to Carl and Cora Hester. She married Ronald Arles Gadman there in 1959. The family moved to Amarillo in 1973.
Lucille was energetic and loving; and devoted homemaker. She also worked outside the home both at Pantex for five years and AISD for more than ten years in food services.
She was known to enjoy the occasional shopping trip; however her passion was her family. Never was she happier than when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, sister and grandmother.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Johnny, David, Carl Jr, and James Hester.
She is survived by her husband of over fifty five years; her two sons, David Gadman and his wife Laura of Alabama and Ron Gadman and his wife Sandy of Amarillo; her sister, Dana Haley of De Quincy, LA; four grandchildren, Joseph Gadman, Stephanie Lancaster, Melanie Gadman and Melinda Cappilla; and her four great grandchildren, Luke, Paul and Charity Lancaster and Cadence Cappilla.
