Augustine Williams, age 74, died Saturday, April 21 in Amarillo.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, in St. Mary’s Cathedral, with Msgr. Harold Waldow as celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Augustine was born on September 16, 1937 to Louis and Agnes Williams in Guyana, South America. He married Gloria Perry in 1960, and they shared 52 years together. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; his daughter, Loretta Howerton and husband, Rick of California; his son, Robert Williams and wife, Kerri of Amarillo; his brother-in-law, Edward Perry and wife, Agnes of Amarillo; three grandchildren, Jordan Williams, Jasmine Howerton, and Kaylea Williams
The family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
