Barbara Ann Beard passed away on November 29, 2011.
Barbara Ann Mann Beard was born in Wheeler, TX on January 24, 1942 to Ira Mann and Mabel Baker. She died November 29, 2011. She married Samuel Garth (Hoppy) Beard on August 18, 1958 in Guymon, Oklahoma. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sibling and aunt but most of all a great friend and mentor. Her family was her pride and joy, especially her grandchildren and great-children. She was a mother and grandma to many who didn’t necessarily have her blood.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, J.W. Mann, and three sisters, Lucille LaDuc, Bessie Mathews, and Jean Dyer.
She is survived by one sister, Francis Temple of Phoenix, AZ, and three daughters, Karen McNeil and husband Danny, Rhonda Girdley and Sandra Immel and husband Clifford and a son, Devoe D. Davidson all of Wheeler.
She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Bobby Dan McNeil of Wheeler, Ryan McNeil of Sayre, OK, Kellie Harrison of Cheyenne, OK, Christopher Beard of Pampa, Jimmy Henson of Wheeler, Courtney Blackmon of Pampa, Jennifer Nowlin of Pampa, Jared McArther of Pampa and Jody Simpson of Shephard, TX, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
