Barbara Ann Fowlkes age 62 of Amarillo, Texas passed away on October 23, 2016 in Amarillo.
A memorial mass will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Rev. John Valdez will be celebrant. A private inurnment with her immediate family will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Groom, Texas. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Barbara was born Barbara Ann Britten, the third of eight children born to Ralph and Mary Britten of Groom, Texas on July 6, 1954. From her parents, she learned to love fiercely and to speak out for what was right. Growing up with a sister and six brothers, Barbara learned to appreciate family, and she dreamed of having her own. Her dream came true when she married Bradley Neil Fowlkes on September 26, 1981. Together they had two perfect children, Neil and Angela who were her entire world – just as she was theirs.
Barbara is survived by a multitude of family and friends.
