Barbara J. Harrison, 68, of Amarillo died June 14, 2014.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 20, 2014 at Family Life Church with Pastor Dale Travis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Barbara was born June 28, 1945 in Colorado City, Texas to Lawrence Hendrickson and Alta Arnold Hendrickson.
Barbara moved to Amarillo in 1956. She married Larry Harrison on June 3, 1963. She was an RN and had worked as an RN for more the 40 years, mostly for Northwest Texas Hospital. She retired from Northwest Texas Surgical Center on Soncy. Barbara was a member of Family Life Church since it started nearly 20 years ago. She loved cooking for her family as well as sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed time with Larry traveling with the Allegro Funseekers RV Club. Her family and friends were so important to her also.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters Linda Gore and Alice Grant.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Larry; her daughter Debra Harrison of Bandera; her son David Harrison and wife Kim of Amarillo; her grandchildren Thayne Harrison and wife Cara and Sarah Harrison; her sister Peggy Gore and husband Gene of Amarillo and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be made to Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th Ave, Amarillo TX 79110.
