Barbara McCreary Ralston, 81, of Amarillo, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Greg Corona officiating. A graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 29, 2016 in Neosho IOOF Cemetery in Neosho, MO with Rev. Mitch Jarvis as officiant. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia, Amarillo, Texas 79110 and Clark Funeral Home, 312 S. Wood St., Neosho, MO 64850.
Barbara was born on January 9, 1935 in Webb City, MO to Kenneth and Anne Knost. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1953 and married John McCreary the same year. They lived in Joplin MO until moving to Neosho in 1955 where they lived until John passed away in 1987. While in Neosho, she worked as a medical receptionist for Dr. Smith and Dr. Porter. In 1990, she married Kenneth Ralston and they moved to Bella Vista AR, while she continued her career as a medical receptionist in Bentonville. Kenneth passed away in 2013 and she moved to Amarillo to be with family in 2014.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, John R McCreary and Kenneth W. Ralston.
Barbara is survived by two sons, John “Tony” McCreary and wife, Candy of Amarillo, TX and Jeff McCreary and wife, Terry of Bradenton, FL ; six grandchildren, Brett McCreary, Jessica Colbert, Josh McCreary, John McCreary, Matt McCreary and Jennifer McCreary; and nine great grandchildren.
