Barbara F. Sizemore

January 13, 1936 — March 31, 2012

Susie Barbara Sizemore died Saturday, March 31, in Amarillo.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, in Brentwood Chapel at Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.  Rev. John Abbott will officiate.

Barbara was born January 13, 1936, in Amarillo to Ernest and Hazel Hagee.  She was a hard working woman, which was evident as she was one of the few female meat packing workers in Amarillo.  Her hobbies were crocheting and playing the piano.

In 1989, Barbara started the Sizemore Home, a home for caring for the elderly.  She demonstrated a boundless love and compassion in her caregiving.

Barbara was preceded in death by her first husband, Oscar Wilson; her second husband, Boyd Brown Sizemore; a daughter, Geneva Duncan; and two sons, Fred Allen Wilson and Stephen Wilson.

Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Horton of Dallas; five sons, Terry L. Wilson and fiancé Darlene Daniels of Port Lavaca, TX, Joseph Leon Russell, Stephen D. Wilson, Jr., Terry Sizemore, all of Amarillo, and Boyd Sizemore, Jr. of Missouri; three sisters, Toni Burris, Patty Fraumane, and Juanita Keadle, also of Amarillo; four brothers, Billy Gene Hagee, Richard Hagee, James Hagee of Amarillo, and Joe Hagee, of Spokane, WA; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and many other adopted children too numerous to mention.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
