A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday June 17th, at Ware Living Center, 400 SW 14th Street, Amarillo, Texas at 2:00 p.m. Chaplain Allan Williamson will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Born 10 December 1919 Chicago, Illinois to Edwin Francis and Agnes Brennan McClelland. Bea attended Chicago Catholic schools, the University of Chicago and Northwestern University. She moved to Texas in the ‘40’s to teach in Austin at the Texas State School for the Deaf. She relocated to Amarillo where she taught in the public school system. Bea married Charles Hill “Charlie” Greef who passed in 1979. Her only child was born in the famous blizzard of January 1949 and nicknamed Stormy while in the baby nursery. Bea enjoyed teaching, as well as golf, bridge and good conversations with friends at Amarillo Country Club. The family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers at Ware Living Center and BSA Hospice. She is preceded in death by husband Charles Hill “Charlie” Greef ; brothers Edwin, Jack and Kerwin McClelland. She is survived by Charles (“Stormy”) and Holly Greef of Dallas; two grandchildren: Brennan (Michael) Blair of Denton and David Greef of Arlington; two great-grandchildren: Lucy and Jack Blair; several nieces and nephews in the Chicago area; three step-daughters: Nancy Cramer of Raymore, Missouri; Carol (Gaylord) Williams of Sweetwater, TX and Gara (Don) Brown of Indian Trail, North Carolina and several stepgrandchildren and great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Ware Living Center, 400 SW 14th Street, or to BSA Hospice, 721 N. Taylor, Amarillo, Texas 79107 or the charity of your choice
