Beckie Churchwell, 67, of Amarillo died May 22, 2021.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Beckie was a flower designer at Freeman’s Flowers for about 15 years. She then opened her own flower shop Petals Flower Design. She was very artistic and creative with her designs. Beckie loved to put her own little touch to arrangements to make them unique and special to each person.
To her husband, children and grandchildren she was soft hearted and kind. Always thought the good of people, and always had a smile on her face. She was easy loving and always made new friends, even if it was on her nightly walks around the neighborhood. She was the go to person to talk to when you needed someone to say the right thing for comfort. Her laugh was so contagious it could light up a dark room. Beckie didn’t want to talk about herself; she wanted to know about the kids and grandkids. She knew how to make you feel special. The grandkids called her LuLu, a perfect name for her personality.
She is preceded in death by her father, Roy Couch; mother, Bernice Couch; and brother, Steve Couch.
Beckie is survived by her husband, Lindell Churchwell of 49 years; daughter, Shellie Brandt and spouse, Cory Brandt; son, Myles Churchwell and wife, Misty Churchwell; along with 5 grandchildren, Austin Brandt, Tatum Brandt, Tahlie Brandt, Emma Claire Churchwell, and Oliver Churchwell.
The family suggests memorials be made to One Chair at a Time: onechairatatime.org or Southwest Ambucs (For Donations & Billing) send to Conder, Kletchka & Associates, PLLC c/o Southwest Ambucs, 2201 Civic Circle, Suite 418 Amarillo, TX 79109.
