Beverly attended Eagle Hill Primary School and Granada High School in Granada, Colorado. She continued her education at Lamar Junior College receiving a 2-year certificate in Business. Beverly was involved in several organizations on campus and spent time babysitting for the family of a college professor to help put herself through college. Once she finished the business program, she moved to Borger, Texas and worked as a bookkeeper for family friends in the printing business. In 1958, she met Andrew (Andy) Cleveland Lyle at worship services and married him on Sunday, October 26, 1958, at the Monroe Street Church of Christ in Borger, Texas.
Beverly and Andy lived in Borger until Andy decided to return to Lubbock to get his Masters in Mechanical Engineering. Beverly worked as a bookkeeper for Sunshine Biscuit Company and received her PHT degree (Put Husbands Through) when her husband graduated.
Next, the couple moved to Phoenix, Arizona for 2 years while Andy did graduate work in Electrical and Civil Engineering. They finally settled in Amarillo, Texas and Andy began his engineering career. Beverly was a homemaker and caregiver for her mother and mother-in-law until their passing. Additionally, she worked various jobs finally settling on Michaels, working there for over 30 years. She loved arts and crafts and Michaels was a perfect fit for her. She was a talented seamstress and excellent at knitting and crochet. She taught 100’s of crafting classes during her career with Michaels. She continued this work through the Covid years. One of her doctors said we could all take lessons from Beverly on how to survive Covid!
In the early 80’s and again in the 90’s, Beverly attended Amarillo College taking classes in English composition, literature, grammar and computer science. She loved history, genealogy and her Celtic heritage and she hoped these classes would help her reach her goal of writing on these subjects when she retired.
Beverly embraced Andy’s love of model railroad construction and they traveled all over displaying his craft. Beverly was a life member of the Lubbock Model Railroad, the Amarillo Railroad Museum, the Amarillo Genealogical Society, the Scottish + Celtic Heritage Society, The Granada Alumni Reunion, the Amarillo Area Toastmistresses (now a part of Toastmasters) and a member of the Anna Street Church of Christ.

Many more nieces and nephews survive including Doris Tourney Bonner, daughter Dina Bonner and son Dr. David and Gayla Bonner, who all helped with her care in her later years.
