Billie Marceron, 94, of Amarillo died December 19, 2014.
Memorial Services will be held at 2 :00 PM Monday, December 22, 2014 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Kevin Deckard, Associate Pastor of Polk Street United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Billie was born June 2, 1920 to George and Billie Thomas in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a 1937 graduate of Amarillo High and a 1941 graduate of Texas State College for Women.
Billie met the love of her life, John E. “Jack” Marceron in 1942 at the USO club at Amarillo Army Air Field. After Jack returned from World War II they were married at Polk Street United Methodist Church on January 20, 1946. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 70 years. Her current chapter was Laureate Theta Upsilon.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jack; 2 daughters, Donna Murrah and husband, Toby, and Sharon Blackmon and husband, Norman; 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Family suggests memorials be made to the Eveline Rivers Christmas Project, 314 S Jefferson, Amarillo, Tx, 79101 or any local charity of choice.
