Billie Smart, 86, of Amarillo went to be with her Lord, Tuesday, December 23, 2014.
Family will receive family and friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2014 at the funeral home.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m., Monday, December 29, 2014, in Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Jim Shelburne of Washington Avenue Christian Church and Mr. Loran Harper of Comanche Trail Church of Christ officiating. Private family interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia St.
Billie was born on October 10, 1928 in Duncan, Oklahoma, to William and Jimmie Brady. She worked for Southwestern Bell for 28 years until her retirement. Billie married Wendell “Windy” Smart on December 14, 1947 in Henrietta. She was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters, Wanda Wellman and Nelda Adams.
Billie is survived by a daughter, Andi Dragosavac and husband, Steve; a son, Richard Smart; a daughter-in-law, Luz Smart; two granddaughters, Melissa Fierro and Aimee Hensley and husband J. R.; two great grandchildren, Malia and Mikeal Fierro — all of Amarillo; two brothers, Johnny Brady of Amarillo and Jimmy Brady of Taylor TX; one sister Barbara Brittain of Nederland TX; two special nieces Marilyn Meriwether and Carolyn Hefner and other nieces and nephews whom she dearly loved; and her special friend and caregiver, Lynn Gibson.
