Billie Jane Stacey, 72, of Amarillo, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
Celebration of Life services will be at 12:00PM Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Temple of Praise Community Church, 1900 W. Amarillo Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79107 with Isaac Butler, grandson as Eulogist. Entombment will be in the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Mrs. Stacey was born on July 11, 1944 in Cleburne to Oscar and Mattie Biggins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Stacey, Jr.; her parents; her daughter, Dede Rochelle Brown; and her brother, Nathanial Biggins.
Mrs. Stacey is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Michael of Amarillo; one son, Horace Stacey III and wife Ravonnette of Amarillo; two sisters, Rosie Johnson of Ft. Worth, and Carrie Williams of Denver, CO; eight grandchildren, Kristie Taylor and husband Thomas of Denver, CO, Marquitto Craig and husband Travis of Terrell, Isaac Butler and wife Tierra, Christopher Brown and wife Chemika, Desiree Biggins, Jasmine Michael, Horace J. Stacey and Zachori Stacey, all of Amarillo; and eight great great grandchildren.
A wake for friends and family will be at 7:00PM of Friday, August 19, 2016 at Temple of Praise Community Church.
The family suggests memorials be made to Temple of Praise Community Church’s Women’s Department.
