Billie Joyce Young, 81, died Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Memorial Service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 31, 2011 Schooler Funeral Home’s Brentwood Chapel with Rev. Mark Love officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Billie was born on November 29, 1930 in Matador, TX to Henry Waymon McCain & Amy Neal McCain. She was raised in Texas and California and was a lover of 1950s jazz, reading, sewing, needlework and tapestry. She retired at the age of 79 from the Holiday Inn after almost 50 years of service.
She is survived by daughter, Dana Phelps of Amarillo; four sons, Noel Young & wife Shelley of Broken Arrow, OK, Shelley Trent Young & wife Janet of Amarillo, Arland Young & wife Marsha of Garden City, KS and Stewart Young of Amarillo; one sister, Kela Short & husband, Chuck of Amarillo and one brother, Glen McCain & wife Rowena of Amarillo and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will all miss her greatly.
