BILLY W. MCALISTER, age 75 of Amarillo died June 27, 2014.
A celebration of Billy’s life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd at 6:00 PM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel.  Pastor Cory Campbell will officiate and the family will greet guests following the service.  Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Billy was born in Davidson, Oklahoma to Claude and Gladys McAlister on December 28, 1938.  Billy attended and graduated from Olton High School in Olton, Texas was a talented football player and was the All Star Defensive End in 1957.  He married Margie Henderson on December 21, 1958.
Billy retired from law enforcement in 2004.  He had a passion for the outdoors and farming.  He loved working the land with his hands, it was more than a job, it was a treasured way of life.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding dirt bikes and spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Barbara Crosby, and a grandson Klint Fellers.
He is survived by his wife Margie; a daughter Karla Fellers and husband Randy all of Amarillo; a son Kelon McAlister of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Marsha Baptiste and husband Tony of Amarillo, Retha Cousin and husband C.J. of Slidell, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Amanda Milam and husband Wayne, Krystal Fellers and fiancé Ronnie Milum, and Brittany McAlister, and one great grandson Kole Milam.
Family suggest memorials be made to Amarillo Area Breast Health Coalition P.O.Box 1400, Amarillo, TX 79105 or Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Foundation to benefit the patients at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospice 1600 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, Texas 79106
