Blake Christopher Weinheimer, 14, of Groom died February 23, 2014.
A vigil will be held at 6:00 PM, Wednesday, February 26, 2014 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Arokia Raj Samala celebrating and Rev. Nicholas Gerber and Rev. Daniel Dreher concelebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Groom.
Blake was born June 25, 1999 in Amarillo to Nick and Renee Weinheimer. He helped on the farm with his dad and had a passion for driving the combine and being a great farm hand. Blake was his dad’s right hand man. He was attending Groom High School and was known to make his classmates laugh with the jokes he would tell. Blake ran track, played both basketball and tennis and served as the football team manager. He was a member of 4H where he showed pigs. Blake also served as a role model to his younger brothers and assisted them with their homework. He spent time with the Catholic Youth Group. Blake loved riding motorcycles with his dad and enjoying the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Renee, his Grandfather, Ed Ramaekers, and his cousin, Brennan Hofmann.
He is survived by his father, Nick, his sisters, Amy, and Cari, his brothers, Derek and Ryan, and numerous aunt, uncles, and cousins who dearly loved him.
Memorials may be given to the Weinheimer Children College fund held at Happy State Bank.
