Bobby Mercer, 39, of Amarillo, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Amarillo.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday November 5, 2016 at Lifeway Fellowship Baptist Church, 3315 Hancock with Pastor Kevin Oakley as officiant. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia.
Bobby was born on August 2, 1977 in Dalhart to Harold and Pam Mercer. He graduated from Borger High School in 1995 and from Oklahoma Panhandle State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Industrial Technology. He married the love of his life, Kristy Glover on April 29, 2000. Bobby worked for many years at Hasting’s and was currently working at Stock Building Supply. Bobby loved spending time with his family and serving as a youth pastor at Mescalero Baptist Church, where he also served with the praise team and played his bass guitar. Bobby also volunteered when he could at Mission Amarillo.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Kristy Mercer; two sons, Drew and Alex Mercer, all of Amarillo; his parents, Harold Mercer of Amarillo and his mother, Pam Conard and husband Darin of West Des Moines, IA; one sister, Rebecca Basgall and husband, George of Elk City, OK; his Grandma Mona Dickerson; his mother in law Tammy Ganci; two sisters in law Melissa Glover and Kara Watson and husband Steven; one brother in law Jared Glover; four nephews, Chandler Basgall, Conor, and Tanner Glover, and Greyson Watson; and two nieces, Amber Glover and Kylin Watson, all of Guymon, OK.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Friday, November 4, 2016 at the funeral home.
