Bonita Christine Roberts

DUE TO UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES THE FUNERAL SERVICE HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A GRAVESIDE SERVICE ONLY.  THE SERVICE WILL BE ON SATURDAY, JAUARY 15TH AT 1:00 PM AT LLANO EAST CEMETERY.  THERE WILL BE NO CHURCH SERVICE.

Bonita Christine (Ferrell) Roberts, 92, of Amarillo passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on January 6, 2022 in her home.

Mrs. Roberts will lie in state for visitation on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5pm to 7pm at Schooler Funeral Home; 4100 S. Georgia. A graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 1pm at Llano Cemetery East.

Bonita Christine Roberts was born June 21, 1929 to Leonard and Alma Ferrell in Vega, TX.  She was the 2nd of 10 children. On Dec 16, 1948, she married Lawrence Rawls Roberts of Morton, Tx.  Together they had 3 children, Rawlslend Gail, Larry Don, and Deborah Michele.

She enjoyed garage-selling, painting, drawing, and singing.  She was proud to have attended various art courses at Amarillo College and West Texas A&M.  All who visited her will sorely miss her hugs and kisses.

She is preceeded in Death by her spouse, Lawrence Rawls Roberts, both her parents and every sibling, except Donny Ferrell, who currently resides near Phoenix, AZ.  Her son, Larry Don Roberts, Sr and his spouse, Lollipop, and a great-grandson Treston Kinney also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children Rawlslend Gail, and Deborah Michele. At the time of her death, she had 8 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren.
