Brian Black, age 58 of Amarillo died on August 29, 2012 in Amarillo.
Memorial Services will be held at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel on Monday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM. Rev. Dale Travis of Family Life Fellowship will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Brian was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 5, 1953 to Dave Black and Lorraine Black Wright. He graduated from Tascosa High School.
He had two passions in life, football and the railroad. He was a writer and wrote numerous articles on the Panhandle regional football teams. Brian had retired from BNSF railroad; a job he had for over thirty five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Amy Broyles and her husband Derick of Amarillo; his son, Jeff Black and his wife Courtney; his brother Norman Cook and his wife Phyllis; his precious grandchildren, Shai Young, Patrick, Rian, and Aven Broyles and Anyssa, Eliyjah and Edyson Black.
