Carl Alan Daugherty passed away on October 30, 2011. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Daugherty was born January 24, 1955 in Amarillo to Dr. Roy and Jackie Daugherty. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1972. During his high school years, he served as a Big Brother. Carl was a self-employed handyman, with plumbing as his expertise. Carl was very loyal to his customers, not only concerning their maintenance needs, but cared about their life in general. He was known for his dry humor, and if you could coax him to laugh, you knew you got him! He was a member of Kingswood United Methodist Church.
Carl was preceded in death by his father; two brothers, Roy Phillip Daugherty and Lonnie Daugherty.
Survivors include his mother, Jackie Daugherty of Amarillo; daughter, Abbey Rose Daugherty of Dallas; son, Eric Alan Daugherty of Austin; and a sister, Nancy Lynn Daugherty of Amarillo, and two nieces.
