Carolin was born on October 20, 1954 in Swindon, England to Marvin Barnett and Rose Marie Barnett. She grew up in Memphis, Texas and obtained an Associate Degree in Accounting from Clarendon College. She married Robert Yung in Fort Worth, Texas, December 27, 1997. Carolin enjoyed home decorating and adding to her extensive collection of Christmas ornaments and Santa Claus figurines, which numbered over 400 items. She shared her time and attention with her nine Chihuahuas and her family and friends. Even through physical pain, Carolin was an upbeat, happy, person who always had something nice to say about those she came in contact with.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 2009 and by her father.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; her step-daughter, Sarah Ruth Yung ; her son, Benjamin Clendennen and his fiancée, Ciara Marie Rauh, all of Amarillo; and by one brother, Danny Barnett and wife, Jackie of Dallas, and a large extended family covering the Texas Panhandle and the Dallas Fort Worth area.
