Carolyn Beth Lummus Watkins age 72 of Amarillo died October 24 in Dallas.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 29th at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Carolyn was born January 31, 1944 in Amarillo to Theodore Ernest and Etta Earnest Pitcock Lummus. She married James “Jim” Watkins in 1973 in Panhandle. The couple was married thirty two years before his death in 2005
She attended Amarillo College and worked at Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital until her retirement in 2009.Carolyn was a beautiful, vivacious woman who loved her family.
The family will receive guests at the funeral home tonight from 5 PM until 6 PM.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim; and a granddaughter, Jordan Watkins.
Carolyn is survived by her two sons, Damon Watkins of Dallas and Billy Watkins and his wife Christie of Roanoke, TX; by her brother, Jimmy Lummus of Pampa, TX; her grandchild, Jackie Watkins; and by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
