Catherine Agnes Loehr

Kate was born in Scranton, PA to John and Agnes Troy on July 20, 1923.  She married Robert F. Loehr on April 18, 1975 in Amarillo, TX.Kate had an illustrious career at Waddell and Reed Associates serving as District and Division Manager and she won many awards and recognition for her service in the field of financial planning.  She loved her job and did not fully retire until she was 81 years old.Kate adored her family and friends and was very involved in her Catholic faith. Throughout the years she was active in the Altar Society, Homebound ministries, Adoration, and started a scholarship fund at St. Hyacinth’s.Some of her most treasured times were those spent traveling with her husband, Bob, especially any trip that took her by the sea.  She also was very proud of her Irish heritage.Kate is lovingly survived by her husband, Robert; cousins Ann Harrington of Scranton, PA, Bill Ghormley and James Ghormley both of Indianapolis, Indiana; five step daughters, Kathleen and Ann Loehr of Hutchinson, KS, Mary Fowler and husband Steve of Rose Hill, KS, Peggy and Brad Clark of Wichita, KS, Amy Hawthorne of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Morgan and Tyler Clark and Regina Loehr.
