Chad Adler Brooks, 33 of Claude, died Saturday, October 15, 2011.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 21, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Groom, Texas with Steve Mitchell and Tony Sparks officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday evening at the Schooler-Armstrong Chapel in Claude on the Square from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Chad was born in Amarillo, Texas to Robert Adler "Bobby" Brooks and Shirley Jean Moore on June 21, 1978. He graduated from Boys Ranch in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his best friend Marcus King in 1995; a niece Tonni Ruthardt in 1988.
Survived by, his wife, Christy Brooks; stepsons, Brandon & Colton Schadel; step-daughter Shaelyn Schadel from Ogden, Kansas; his parents, Shirley Brooks of Claude; Robert “Bobby” Brooks of Elk City; three sisters, LeeSa Brooks of Canyon, Shantelle Madison of Hobart, OK, Bobbie Caffee and husband Jason of White Deer; and his best friend & beloved pet, Keystone; Aunt & Uncle Kim & Steve Goldsmith of White Deer, 4 nieces and 5 nephews and one great-nephew that he loved dearly.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 1890, Amarillo, TX 79174.
