Graveside Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 1, 2010 at Memory Gardens Cemetery and Memorial Services will be held at 1:00, Monday, November 1, 2010 at St. Stephen United Methodist Church, 4600 South Western. Family will receive visitors from 2PM-3PM Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Schooler Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Allen was born October 19, 1927 in Dallas, Texas to Isaac and Minnie Lee Allen. Three weeks after Chuck turned 17, he joined the Coast Guard. While serving in the Coast Guard during WWII he earned the rank of Petty Officer 3C. On May 10, 1955 Chuck married Jean Stark in Seagoville, TX. They moved to Amarillo in 1965. After working for 27 years, Chuck retired from Upshaw Insurance Agency as a Senior Partner. Mr. Allen was a long time member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church.SURVIVORS: Chuck is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean, Two Sons, Clay Allen and wife Debra of Amarillo and Joe Allen and wife Debbie of Katy, TX. Three Sisters, Dorothe Fielding of Pahrump, NV, Joyce Hambrick of Casper WY, and Janet Cherry of Arlington, TX, and Three Grandchildren, Bryan Allen and Fiancée Amy Armenta, Brett Allen, and Alexa Watson and husband Jeremy.MEMORIALS: St. Stephen United Methodist Church or Pathfinders Sunday School Class, 4600 South Western, Amarillo, Texas 79109
