Public viewing will be on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Schooler Funeral Home, Brentwood Chapel, 4100 South Georgia. Pastor Emeritus Ricky Pfeil of Accelerate Church will officiate.
Chuck was born in Dallas, Texas on November 13, 1947, to his parents William J and Audra Lee Terrell Bennett. Shortly after graduation he enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served on the USS Catskill from 1968 until 1971.
Chuck was an engineer for the US Postal Service for many years, retiring in 2017. He had a heart of gold and was a very generous individual. Chuck married Blanca Gutierrez in Amarillo on February 14, 2014. He had many passions in his life, but next to his family and the friends he considered family, his two biggest were Harley-Davidson and make no mistake about it, he was a hardcore Dallas Cowboy Fan. Nowhere would Chuck rather be, than on the back of his bike. He attended as many rallies as possible and genuinely enjoying the open road and the freedom that came along with it. He attended Sturgis many times, but some of his happiest memories were made on trips to Ruidoso, with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Buddy Robert Bennett.
Chuck is survived by his wife Blanca; his daughter Amy Bennett; three sisters, Joyce Escamilla of Amarillo, Janice Landers of Pennsylvania, and Vickie Chrysler; two brothers Nickey Partridge of Vancouver, Washington and William Bennett Jr of Amarillo; and many loving family, friends and "brothers from another mother."
