Charles Eugene Richardson 80 of Amarillo died Friday, May 24, 2013.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 in South Georgia Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Miller and Rev. Robert Field officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Mr. Richardson was born December 20, 1932 in Chucky, Tennessee to Ross and Lois Richardson. He was part of the beginning of South Georgia Baptist before it was a church. Charles was also a charter member as well as a Deacon and a Sunday school teacher and served in many other capacities. For the past 10 years he had worked at West Texas A & M University.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Neal Richardson.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; daughter, Janice Knight; 4 grandchildren, Amber and Rodney Evans, Lucas and Kami Richardson, Sunny and Colt Walker and Christopher and Cassandra Knight; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the caregivers of Interim Hospice.
The family suggests memorials be made to South Georgia Baptist Church Building Fund, 5209 S Georgia, Amarillo, Tx 79110
