Charles “Chuck” S. Westerby, 91, of Amarillo died August 7, 2013.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 9, 2013 in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel with Ron Sullivan, Associate Pastor of First Church of The Nazarene officiating. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.
Charles was born April 8, 1922 in Holly, Michigan to Wilson and Iva Westerby. He was raised on a farm. Charles married his loving wife, Wilma Wamsley, June 18, 1944. He worked all of his life to provide for his family. He attended First Church of the Nazarene and was a member of North Beacon Church of the Nazarene for many years. Charles never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Westerby, and his Daughter, Sharon Perales.
Charles is survived by his sons, Charles J. Westerby and wife Linda, Kenneth Westerby and wife Ginger, and Phil Martin and wife Cheryl all of Amarillo, a sister, Dolly Maas of Howell, Michigan, a brother, Harvey Westerby and wife Rita of Werdman, Michigan, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice c/o Olivia’s Angels or First Nazarene Church.
