A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 6th in The Llano Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Rev. Lane Boyd of Polk Street United Methodist Church will officiate. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Charles was born to Charlie Martin Wiesen and Millie Lindsey Wiesen on March 27, 1924 in Lampasas County, Texas. He was a veteran proudly serving in the United States Army.A successful businessman, in the fields of insurance, real estate and was also known as a builder and developer. Charles was very active in civic organizations in Port Arthur and Beaumont before moving to Amarillo in 1972, when he and Della Dunn were married.Charles was a devoted and active member in Polk Street United Methodist Church and was a member of the Amarillo Country Club. He will always be remembered as a very kind and generous man. He is survived by his wife, Della; two children, Mark Allen Wiesen of Arizona and Linda Wiesen Winton and husband Dennis of Arlington, TX; a step daughter, Pamela Dunn Weems and husband Russell of Roswell, NM; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother, Emmett Wiesen and wife Dixie of Waco, TX; two sisters, Christell Busch of Nederland, TX and Faye Thibodeaux of Houston, TX.The family would like to thank the VA Living Center for the loving care Charles received during his stay of approximately seven years.In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Polk Street United Methodist Church, 1601 South Polk Street, Amarillo, TX 79101
