Charlotte Gennelle Goodner

Funeral services for Charlotte Gennelle (Gustafson) Goodner, 80, will be at 10:00AM Friday, December 18, at Brentwood Chapel of Schooler Funeral Home. Rev. Sherman Eastland will officiate. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.
Charlotte was born March 12, 1929, in Texhoma, Oklahoma, in the back bedroom of her Grandmother Rock’s home, to Edna Bell Rock Gustafson and Delmar Lincoln Gustafson. Charlotte died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Shawnee Colonial Estates, Shawnee, Oklahoma, after a lengthy illness.
Charlotte attended grades K-12 in Texhoma, Oklahoma, graduating from Texhoma High School in 1947. She then attended Panhandle A&M College for two years, finishing her Education Degree at Central State College in 1951.
She taught at Stealey School, a one room, K-8 school near Purcell, Oklahoma. Charlotte also taught for several years in the Oklahoma City Public School System, as well as, the Texhoma, Texas Independent School SystIn later years, she was an office manager and partner in Goodner Livestock in Texhoma with her husband, Lloyd K. Goodner.
Charlotte was a member of the United Methodist Church of Texhoma.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd K. Goodner; her parents, Edna and Delmar Gustafson; a very special grandmother, Laura Bell Rock; a stepfather, Alfred E. Stiles; one brother, Lincoln Richard Gustafson; one sister, Jewel Osborn; and one brother –in-law, T.E. “Buck” Osborn.
Survivors include her three sons, Chuck Goodner of Tecumseh, OK, Jeff Brown and wife, Martha of Prescott, AZ, and Gary J. Goodner of Amarillo, TX; her very special brother, Monte Stiles of Taos, NM; her nephews, Rocky Osborn and wife Marty of Anderson, SC and Tommy Osborn of Perryton, Texas; and her niece, Sharon Simmons and husband, Jack of Taos, NM.
Charlotte is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, including spouses: Brett and Summer Goodner, Mat and Keela Dauphin, Lane Goodner, Jenna Goodner, Maya Brown, Andy Brown, Gabriel Brown, Gary Franklin and Kelly Goodner, Jimmy and Jennifer Weaver, Steve and Katrina Short, Jim and Kimberly Gather and eight great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Brooklyn, Codi, Colby, Kaylee, Evan, Avery and Charlotte Anika.
