Charlotte Parks, 100, of Amarillo died February 16, 2020.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Charlotte was born January 12, 1920 in Madam Creek, WV to Trommer and Ethel Young. She earned a nursing certificate in West Virginia and served as caregiver for her husband, Thomas Parks until his passing in 1981. Charlotte wrote a newspaper column in the Princeton Times and was a sunday school teacher for most of her adult life. She was a member of the Oasis of Love Outreach Ministry for many years until she was unable to go. Charlotte was a caregiver and loved taking care of anyone she could.

She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Nathan Thompson; second husband, Thomas Parks; son, Donald Jeffery Thompson; daughter, Loretta Caryl Welch; and son, Donald Wilson Thompson.

Charlotte is survived by grandchildren Teai Day and husband Rick, Camie Johnson and husband Lance and Eddie Thompson and wife Bridget; and numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.
