Chuck was born November 11, 1930 in Bowie, Texas to Andrew and Martha Allen. He met Elizabeth Idell Gray and they married on June 18, 1949 in Clovis, New Mexico. He spent his career with Burlington Northern Railroad and was a hard worker. He and Idell are members of Trinity Fellowship Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his Burlington Northern Retirement Club buddies. He loved his grandkids and his great-grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, one sister and one grandson, Jeff Acker.
He is survived by his wife Idell of Amarillo; four daughters, Darlene Terrel and husband Ricky of Amarillo, Shirlene Stephens and husband Boyd of Tulsa, OK, Martha Shaltry and husband Jon of Amarillo and Becky Acker of Pennsylvania; two sons, Bruce Allen of Amarillo and Bryan Allen of Wallace, NC; two sisters, Willie Dee Barnes of Eakley, OK and Merle Jarrett of Forth Worth, TX; three brothers, Gail Allen of Claude, Bill Allen of Bowie, TX and Sam Allen of Wichita Falls, TX; eight grandchildren, Randall, Stephanie, Kristi, Erick, Amy, Daniel and Tyler, and ten great-grandchildren.
