Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 3:00 PM at Paramount Baptist Church Building B. Darrell Anderson, teaching minister and Terry Stout will officiate. The burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 South Georgia.Clarence Edward “Eddie” Grissom was born April 7, 1948 to Orville and Bonnie Grissom in Odessa, TX. He married Sharon Stout on September 25, 1974 in Teneha, TX. Eddie was actively involved in prison ministry for twenty years. He spent hours visiting with inmates, officers and families, encouraging a strong relationship with his Jesus. This was his true passion. He loved to make sure everyone felt welcome in the church. Christian music filled his heart with joy, he especially enjoyed attending the EXP contemporary service held on Saturday evening at Paramount Baptist Church where his “AMEN’ will be missed. When he was able he enjoyed attending as many Christian concerts as possible. Eddie’s ultimate goal was to share Jesus with everyone he could, which he did until his last day. “And the King will answer and say to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, in as much as you did it to the least of these my brethren, you did it to Me.” Matthew 25:40Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Loyd and his daughter Shay.Eddie is lovingly survived by his wife, Sharon; a daughter, Robin Williams of Azle, TX; two sons, Mark Helms and wife Julie and Scotty Grissom all of Amarillo; two sisters Delores Hughes of River View, FL and JoAnn Humphreys of Rusk, TX; two brothers, Carlton Grissom and wife Charlotte of Dallas, TX and Jesse Grissom and wife Barbara of Mesquite, TX and six grandchildren, Robby, Chabree, Kandie, Stormie, Katelynn and Stephen: and five great-grandchildren.The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be sent to Compassion International, Colorado Springs, CO 80997
