Clarence Wilson, 99, of Amarillo died Saturday, May 12, 2012. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in Coulter Road Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Robeson and Dr. Larry Payne officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Clarence was born October 1, 1912 in Greenfield, OK to Harvey and Pearl Wilson. His family later moved to Watonga. OK. Mr. Wilson graduated from Booker High School in 1931. He worked in Goodrich Rubber Co in Borger and farmed near Booker. Clarence attended Draughon’s Business College in Amarillo in 1935. On March 10, 1940 he married the love of his life, Theresa P. Kemper in First Baptist Church in Tulia. They have been married for 72 years. Clarence was instrumental in building the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Keyes in Keyes, OK. During his time in Keyes, he was engaged in farming and ranching. He also farmed north of Happy from 1970 until retirement. Clarence and Theresa were charter members of Tascosa Baptist Church and Coulter Road Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and served as a deacon and where they faithfully attended and raised their children to have a strong faith and love for Christ and His church.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife, Theresa, his son, Alwyn Wilson and wife Patricia of Edgewater, FL, his daughters, Lynna Wood and husband Jim of Claude, and Sherry Mauldin and husband Robert of Amarillo, 8 Grandchildren, 13 Great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Family suggests memorials be made to Coulter Road Baptist Church, 4108 South Coulter, Amarillo, Texas 79109.

Family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
