Clarence Alvin Shanks, 92, of Amarillo went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday April 10, 2022.
Funeral services were held at Schooler Funeral Home on April 15, 2022.
Clarence was born November 16th of 1929 and was raised in Muleshoe, TX by Clyde Shanks and his grandparents and graduated from Bovina High School. He and his wife Beth were married 72 great years. He retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 1992. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was very fond of his furry friend Bo.
Survivors include wife Beth Shanks of Amarillo. Children Mike Shanks and wife Beth of Flower Mound, TX, Susan Harwood and husband Charles of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Fails and husband Chris of Boerne, TX and Cindy Collins and husband Ron of Amarillo, TX. He was a proud Grandad to his 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and a cousin Gerald Shanks of Lubbock, TX.
The family appreciated the compassion from the BSA care team and the continuous Love and support from friends and family.
