Clarito Ortiz, 48, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016 at Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2016 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring, with Rev. Gerardo Uribe, as celebrant. Burial will be Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia Amarillo, Texas 79110.
Mr. Ortiz was born October 24, 1967 in Lubbock, Texas to Esteban and Esidra Ortiz. Clarito was a graduate of Hereford High School. He married Graciela Alvarado on August 3, 2002 in Amarillo. He worked for Tyson Foods at the time of his death and loved his job. He loved to fish and was always willing to help others. His friendliness towards others was admired by all. He was kind; sincere and a devoted man whose smiling face brought joy to those he touched. His leadership, ability to effect change, lively sense of humor and friendly smile will be missed by his family and friends. He will be remembered as a loving father and husband. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Olga Ortiz.
Mr. Ortiz is survived by his wife, Graciela of the home; two daughters, Gerardette and Fatima Ortiz, one son, Pablo Ortiz, all of the home; two sisters, Anita Castillo Ortiz and Gloria Wilson Ortiz; three brothers, Santos Ortiz, Esteban Ortiz and Antonio Ortiz.
